DIWANIYA / Aswat al-Iraq: A massive demonstration staged in Diwaniya against Baathists' participation in the political process, head of the Justice and Accountability Commission in Diwaniya said on Tuesday.
"Hundreds have taken to the streets, calling to not allow the former Baathists to take part in the parliamentary elections and the political process," Dakhel Sihoud al-Kenani told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"Official agreements have been gained and the protest was held under the police protection," he added.
